New Wide Bay Australia Home Loan and Investment Centre opens in Melbourne.
Wide Bay Australia Ltd opened its first Victorian Home Loan and Investment Centre this week.
The Centre at 1414 Toorak Road, Camberwell in Melbourne also provides full branch banking facilities.
The move is hot on the heels of similar Centres opened by the Queensland based mortgage and financial services provider at Upper Mt Gravatt in Brisbane in July and at Parramatta in Sydney in August last year.
Wide Bay Australia previously used mortgage brokers and loan introducers as intermediaries for its Victorian home lending program.
“Our new Centre will increase our local presence by attracting additional direct business and act as a base to continue servicing these financial intermediaries,” Managing Director, Ron Hancock said.
”All Wide Bay Australia business in Victoria will be directed to Camberwell including calls to our 1300 number from Victorian callers.”
“Our new and existing clients will have a Centre to which they can direct their enquiries. They will be able to come in and talk to a Loan Consultant about their home loan, discuss any of their other financial services needs and conduct their business and transactions through our branch banking facilities,” Mr Hancock said. “A 24 hour ATM has also been installed.”
Mr Hancock said the move will give Melbourne and Victorian residents a banking alternative that prides itself on community service and spirit.
Wide Bay Australia Ltd, which is prudentially supervised by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority like all Australian banks, building societies and credit unions, has over $1.5 billion in assets and loans under management, 30 retail outlets and more than 80,000 customers.
