7/6/02 New Wide Bay Capricorn branch to open at Mt Pleasant
Wide Bay Capricorn, the largest Queensland building society represented in Mackay, will open a second full service branch later this month.
The new branch at Mt Pleasant Greenfields Shopping Centre will compliment the Society’s existing branch at Caneland Central.
According to Managing Director, Ron Hancock, Wide Bay Capricorn recognises the potential of Mackay and the tremendous growth that’s occuring throughout the region.
“We want to be part of this growth but also be part of the Mackay community.”

7/05/02 New 24 hour Automatic Teller Machines
Wide Bay Capricorn Building Society has installed additional 24 hour Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) at several of its branches.
The ATM's accept a wide range of cards belonging to a range of institutions including the major banks.
Mr Ron Hancock, Wide Bay Capricorn’s Managing Director, said the Society is committed to servicing the communities in which it operates and has responded to requests from its customers and residents for additional ATM's.
The ATM's were installed at the Society's Branches in Cooroy, Bargara and Bourbong St, Bundaberg. Mr Hancock said Wide Bay Capricorn has plans to install more ATM's at other centres in coming months.
Mr Hancock encouraged residents of these areas to apply for a Society Cashcard as other card-holders would normally pay a fee to their bank or financial institution to use a Wide Bay Capricorn ATM.
We currently provide 6 free withdrawals at our own ATM’s and 6 free withdrawals over-the-counter at our branches each month so it’s a great incentive to become a Wide Bay Capricorn customer.
